Specific Requirements of Off Road Vehicles

 

CLASS 8 Four Wheel Drive (Modified) Vehicles with engines up to 6000cc

BODY/CHASSIS
The body of the vehicle must be derived from a production 4WD and substantially resemble it.
The height width and length of the body may not be reduced.
The chassis may be modified.

ROLL CAGE
A roll cage of a least Type 3 as specified in Schedule J, Section 6 of the CAMS Manual and which incorporates door bars must be fitted to the vehicle.

ENGINE
The engine may be modified but must not exceed 6000cc in capacity.
The location of the engine is free but must not extend into the rear half of the vehicle.

TRANSMISSION
The gearbox, housing, transfer case, differentials and axle housings are free.
