Scrutineering and the Street Parade are
in Carnarvon on Thursday. Carnarvon is
900km from Perth. For more detailed
information on travelling to Carnarvon,
go here. It is recommended that you
leave Perth on Wednesday
afternoon/evening, stop at Geraldton (or
in the vicinity - 420kms from Perth) and
then continue on to Carnarvon to arrive
approximately midday.
Scrutineering starts at 12noon behind
the Woolshed at the top end of Robinson
Street (the main street of Carnarvon).
After the Street Parade at 5.00pm there
is a Competitors' Briefing at the
Woolshed complex on Thursday evening at
7.00pm and a carvery afterwards. Stay
in Carnarvon overnight.
Travel to
Coonantha via Gascoyne Junction on
Friday morning to arrive by midday
(Carnarvon to Gascoyne Junction is
162kms by good gravel road). Gascoyne
Junction to the turn off to the
Coonantha camping area is 25 kms by
gravel road For more detailed
information on travelling to Gascoyne
Junction,
go here. Once at Coonantha, set up
your camp on the banks of a tributary
creek of the Lyons River. The Prologue
starts at 12noon
Enjoy the
festivities at Coonantha on Friday
night. Full bar and entertainment. Good
food available.
Racing
starts at 8.00am on Saturday. It's an
out and back course, started in
accordance with the time you recorded in
the Prologue. |
