CROSS COUNTRY RALLIES

A
Cross Country Rally is run over a total distance between 1200 km and 6500 km and may cover several countries. The event must last for no more than 10 days (including scrutineering and Special Stages).  The minimum distance of a World Cup Cross Country Rally is 2000 km.

Only vehicles homologated by the FIA in Groups T1 (Improved Cross Country Vehicles), T2 (Cross Country Production Vehicles) and T4 (Cross Country Trucks) are eligible.

Events of shorter duration or distance are known as Cross Country Bajas.

Events of longer distance or duration are known as Cross Country Marathon Rallies.  A Marathon is an event that covers the territory of several countries and has a total distance greater than 6500 km, with a minimum total distance of 4000 km for the Selective Sections.  The total duration may not exceed 31 days.

CROSS COUNTRY BAJAS

A Baja is a Cross Country Rally run over 1 or 2 days.

In a 1 day Baja the maximum distance is 800 km.  The maximum distance for a 2 day Baja is 1200 km.

The minimum distance of the Selective Sections in the International Cup for Cross Country Bajas is 400 km.

Only vehicles homologated by the FIA in Groups T1 (Improved Cross Country Vehicles), T2 (Cross Country Series Production Vehicles) and T4 (Cross Country Trucks) are eligible.

An event of longer duration or distance is known as a Cross Country Rally or Cross Country Marathon.
