CROSS COUNTRY BAJAS A Baja is a Cross Country Rally run over one day (max 600 km) or two days (max 1000 km) with a minimum of 300 kilometers of Selective Sections. An event of longer duration or distance is known as a Cross Country Rally or Cross Country Marathon.

RALLIES CROSS COUNTRY MARATHONS A Cross Country Marathon is an event that covers the territory of several countries and has a total distance greater than 5000 km, with a minimum total distance of 3000 km for the Selective Sections. The total duration may not exceed 21 days. FIA WORLD CUP FOR CROSS COUNTRY RALLIES In 2011 the Rally and Baja Championships were combined into an eight event series of rallies and bajas called the World Cup for Cross Country Rallies. To score points and be classified in the Cross Country Rally World Cup, competitors must take part in at least one Baja and at least one Cross Country Event.

Tunisia Rally It was Round 2 of the 2010 FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies and is one of the three events in the NPO Desert Trophy. In 2011 it is Round 3 of the World Cup for Cross Country Rallies. It is conducted in May. |

Lisbonne-Estoril-Marrakech This event replaced the Rally TT Transibérico. Organised by the Automotive Club of Portugal the event was round 3 of the 2010 FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies covering a route of 3000 km (1800 km in special stages) with much of that distance crossing the desert terrain of Morocco.
In 2011 it became part of the revamped
World Cup for Cross Country Rallies. |

Paraoahs Rally This 2500 km event in Egypt is part of the World Cup for Cross Country Rallies organised by the Automobile Touring Club of Egypt. The Pharaohs Rally begins in El Alamein in October and lasts for six challenging days in the Sahara Desert before finally ending in Cairo. It was previously (2010) the fourth and last round in the World Cup for Cross Country Rallies. |
